The first summit to develop a two-year statewide plan to help Nevadans kick the tobacco habit will be held today in Reno.
The American Lung Association of Nevada and the Nevada Tobacco Prevention Coalition will host a press conference at 8:45 a.m. to kick off the ICAAN Summit (Increasing Cessation Access for All Nevadans) at The Grove at South Creek, 95 Foothill Road.
Scheduled speakers include Allison Newlon Moser, executive director of the American Lung Association in Nevada, Christopher Roller, vice president of the Nevada Tobacco Prevention Coalition, and Dr. Michael Lucia.
Nevada has been awarded one of six grants from Action to Quit Network, sponsored by the Partnership for Prevention.
